7:00 PM

Seattle, WA Switzerland's Alpine Pass Route & Romania's Fagaras Traverse. A slide presentation for the Mountaineers Hiking Potluck by John and Amy Osaki, former park rangers and owners of Mountain Hiking Holidays/Walking Softly Adventures. Enjoy images taken along the Alpine Pass Route in the Swiss Alps from the Grosse Scheidegg to Lauterbrunnen, Muerren, the Kiental and on to Kandersteg. This is one of the "classic" multi-day mountain traverses in Europe. The lesser known high alpine hut-to-hut traverse of Romania's Fagaras Mountains (Transylvanian Alps) presents a more rugged and rustic hiking experience—one of the longest, continuous high country traverses in Europe and a never-to-be-forgotten adventure! The presentation is open to the general public. Potluck at 6:00 PM and presentation at 7:00 PM. At the Mountaineers clubhouse in Magnuson Park (Building #67). See the webpage of the Seattle Mountaineers for directions to the clubhouse.
