Mountain Fun Fact |
| The highest peak on the
Balkan Peninsula is Musala ("Мусала" in Bulgarian), not the
better known Mount Olympus in Greece. Musala rises to a height
of 9,596 feet, 26 feet higher than Olympus ("Όλυμπος" in Greek). |
